The estimate is a customer decision process
Customers may need time, financing clarity, scope explanation, household agreement, scheduling confidence, or reassurance about the recommendation. Repeating “are you ready?” does not resolve those barriers.
Segment the open pipeline
Use estimate type, value, age, customer relationship, known objection, financing relevance, season, system condition, and advisor ownership. Prioritization protects both customer experience and sales time.
Automate structure, not judgment
Automation can deliver approved reminders, capture current interest, identify questions, and schedule a human follow-up. Technical advice, negotiation, sensitive complaints, and complex financing belong with qualified people.
Close the measurement loop
Record why estimates advance, pause, or close. Connect approved work to the outreach and advisor path without ignoring other influences on the decision.
